Hi, I’m Marianna Batkin—the owner and lead photographer at Va Va Zoom Studio, a boutique photography studio based in Coquitlam, BC. I specialize in newborn photography, maternity portraits, boudoir sessions, and fine art family photography. MY STORY
I’m a proud wife to an amazing husband and a mama to two wildly lovable boys who keep life full of laughter (and a lot of chaos!). My crew is everything to me, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Before diving into photography full-time, I spent two decades in the creative world of advertising and design—wearing hats like graphic designer, art director, and even business owner. Creativity has always been my happy place, and the camera was never far from reach. When my first boy came along, something clicked (literally!), and I fell head over heels for portrait photography all over again.
When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me sipping coffee, chasing adventures with my family, gardening, getting a workout in, or roaming the trails with our dogs.
Life is full—and I love it that way.

Cake Smash Session
I have worked with Marianna twice for my maternity shoot and my son's cake smash. She has wide range of outfits and props to choose from. When I reached out to her again for my baby cake smash shoot, I am looking for something not so regular/traditional style, she took it as a challenge and come up with the idea of Pasta smash. She was very patient with me in answering all my questions and planned well for my baby session. We got very good photos that we can cherish forever and the great thing is she has included family portraits as well in her package. Overall she is a great photographer and easy to work with.
